The Status of Quality Measurement Experiments in the Microwave, Longwave, and Shortwave

چکیده
Spectral analyses from the Atmospheric Emitted Radiance Interferometer/Line-by-Line Radiative Transfer Model (AERI/LBLRTM) Quality Measurement Experiment (QME) have proven critical in the assessment of clear sky radiative transfer modeling capability for general circulation models (GCMs). The QME provides a mechanism for the assessment of the three critical components of the longwave spectral validation: 1) the high resolution spectral radiance measurements from the University of Wisconsin AERI The longwave AERI/LBLRTM QME has made important instrument, 2) the line-by-line calculation from the LBLRTM contributions to the detection and evaluation of data quality algorithm, and 3) the characterization of the atmospheric state problems related to the continuous long-term measurements at in the radiating column as derived from various instruments at the ARM SGP site. Improved Determination of Surface and Atmospheric Temperatures Using Only Shortwave AIRS Channels
AIRS was launched on EOS Aqua on May 4, 2002, together with AMSU-A and HSB, to form a next generation polar orbiting infrared and microwave atmospheric sounding system. AIRS is a grating spectrometer with a number of linear arrays of detectors with each detector sensitive to outgoing radiation in a characteristic frequency vi with a spectral band pass Ovi of roughly vi /1200. AIRS contains 2378...
متن کاملRadiation balance and urban land use (case study: Kermanshah city)
Population growth and urbanization development are the main triggering factors of changes in urban land uses. These, in turn, result in changes in the components of radiation balance. The present study tries to analyze the role of urban land uses in radiation balance by calculating net radiation and its analysis. For this purpose, the Landsat 8 satellite image of 2016 was used. Characteristics ...
متن کاملObservering the surface energy budget at Cabauw: A status report
Introduction Closing the surface energy budget (SEB) is one of the longest outstanding problems in micro-meteorology. At the earth’s surface the net radiation (QN), consisting of the budget of shortwave incoming (K), shortwave outgoing (K), longwave incoming (L) and longwave outgoing radiation (L), should be balanced by the transport of heat into the soil (G) and to the atmosphere in the form o...
متن کاملAdaptive changes of redox status in rat brain tissues due to decimeter microwave irradiation
Electromagnetic waves affect living organisms and it is of great interest for wide interaction of new sources with a diversity of frequencies and powers to life of people. In the last few years, many authors have proposed that the biological effect of electromagnetic fields in both the high-frequency and low-frequency ranges are connected with oxidative processes in tissues. Studying the change...
